Hey gang!
We were at Mountsberg Conservation in Campbellville on Saturday; and as we were watching a Painted Turtle, we noticed this snake kinda coiled up in the bush right over the edge of the pond. Any idea what species it might be?
It was probably 3 to 3.5 ft long... a blackish green. I recall the centre at Mountsberg having a wildlife ID board in previous years but didn't see it anywhere yesterday.
Thanks in advance!

It looks as though it may have been shedding recently.

It looks like a Northern Water Snake.

Cool. 8) Nice to know this snake isn't venomous!

Thanks BB... I believe you are correct as I took that snake name and did some Googling. It sure looks like it.
