Post by: Mathieu Siol on May 02, 2010, 03:54:42 PM
Hi all,
I spent a couple of hours on the islands today (from Centre island to Ward's island). It was pretty quiet in terms of birds but still very nice.
Among the usual suspects I saw:

-Common Loon 3 migrating
-Black-billed Cuckoo 1
-Belted Kingfisher 1
-Northern Flicker  a few
-Eastern Kingbird  1
-Warbling Vireo  3
-Blue-headed Vireo  2
-Ruby-crowned Kinglet
-Blue-gray Gnatcatcher  6
-Hermit Thrush  7
-Gray Catbird   1
-Nashville Warbler   3
-Yellow Warbler   2
-Yellow-rumped Warbler   20+
-Black-throated Green Warbler  1
-Palm Warbler   3
-Common Yellowthroat   1
-Eastern Towhee  1
-Chipping Sparrow   many
-White-throated Sparrow   many
-White-crowned Sparrow   1
-Swamp Sparrow  1
-Baltimore Oriole   several

Good birding

Mathieu
