Took the day off work today and walked down to Bluffers Park. Saw a pair of canvasbacks, a pair of kingfishers, an orchard oriole, several trumpeter swans, the mockingbirds, and an assortment of the other usual birds. All types of swallows were putting on a show, especially along the cliff face. But my favourite sighting was of a screech owl in a nest box.
I would love to post a photo of the owl in a posting in the photo corner, but can't find the instructions on how to embed it in my posting (the FAQs say you can only do it by a link - but everyone seems to embed in the posting). Can anyone tell me how to do it?
Also heard and say lots of bull frogs, a snapping turtle and a painted turtle.

Create a new post, select IMG and paste your picture's file name in and then IMG*
You can post more than one picture - just hit a couple of returns
Hit the preview button - you should be able to see your picture
If you are storing on Flikr for instance, you need to double click on your picture, select "All Sizes" along the top of the picture
Then right click on the picture and go to Properties
Copy the entire address, i.e. including the "jpg" extension
This is what you need to paste between IMG and IMG*
Sounds complicated, but isn't too bad really
Good luck - looking forward to your pictures
