just came back from the bird walk
Great Egret-above our head
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Barn Swallow
Nashville Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler - they are gorgeous!

Yellow Warbler
Orioles (Baltimore?)- 2nd year male
Lincoln's Sparrow
Warbling Vireo
Western Palm Warbler
Ruby Crowned Kinglet
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
blue headed Vireo
white-crowned sparrow
Brown Thrasher
Chimney Swift
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Eastern Kingbird
Northern Parula<---heard them but cannot spot them!
of course there are a lot of birds around, we were lead by an experienced birder. Was really fun and learn a lot. There's also bird display and swallow house making.

the early AM was not bad, but if you were out on the Spit any time after 10 AM, you were a brave soul :)
