Title: Wood Thrush in Queen's Park

Hi all,
around 1pm today in Queen's Park I observed among the more common birds the following species:

-Wood Thrush  1 beautiful and confident
-Indigo Bunting   1
-Ovenbird   2
-Black-throated Blue Warbler    4
-Black-throated Green Warbler  3
-Palm Warbler   3
-Yellow-rumped Warbler  > 10
-Nashville Warbler  1
-Magnolia Warbler   1
-Baltimore Oriole   1
-White-crowned Sparrow  1

I have yet to see my first Blackburnian of the year!

The Blackburnians are there. I've seen one in QP the past two mornings. I've yet to see a Palm Warbler or Ovenbird, though. Am I correct that the Ovenbirds tend to be on the ground rather than up high like most of the other warblers?

Yes, although in QP, there isn't much ground cover, so ground feeders, thrushes and ovenbirds, will escape up in the trees, when disturbed.

The Ovenbirds as well as the Wood Thrush were on the ground foraging,
just retreating into the trees when somebody was walking too close.

pretty neat that you're seeing this downtown

I usually go around noon...

Still pretty good most of the time.
