Title: Bird ID help...a small challenge for you

my fiancee was in Burlington and saw two birds emerge from the garden.

It appeared as if they had black wings with white wing tips.  The back of their heads and tails looked white. the tail was pointed at the bottom.

they were slightly bigger than a robin.

she insists that it wasn't a morning dove.

any suggestions?
