Title: Flock of Herons
Post by: Cody on May 13, 2010, 07:21:33 PM
This morning around 11AM I saw a flock of 4 Great Blue Herons which were flying on the Niagara Escarpment.  The birds were viewable from my feeders.  This is the largest flock I have ever seen.

apparently a flock of herons is called a sedge, hedge, scattering or siege....

I think siege is a great name for a flock of cormorants or gulls...
