This morning around 11AM I saw a flock of 4 Great Blue Herons which were flying on the Niagara Escarpment. The birds were viewable from my feeders. This is the largest flock I have ever seen.

apparently a flock of herons is called a sedge, hedge, scattering or siege....
I think siege is a great name for a flock of cormorants or gulls...
