Hey
We made a quik visit to the marsh today(before noon), it was not very busy but it was cool and a bit windy. We walked along the dike East of the Nature center almost as far as the Osprey nest.
We didn't realize there was an Osprey there until it started calling out "go away". We were still quite a distance away (150 yards)and decided to head back mainly because the sign on the Nesting post said "Stay away from this area".
There are Black terns all over the place North of the East/West dike. They are off on the left as you head North.
Spotted two Swans I assume they are Trumpeters but It is a big place and they were along way off past the Osprey Nest.
There were a pair nesting Tree Swallows right by the entrance fence to the dike. We were talking to a fellow and less than 10 feet away there are two swallows, one in the nest box and another sitting on a branch watching us.
I have to go thru my images I don't think many turned out. Terns are difficult at the best of times. If anything turns out I'll post them in the Tiny section of my gallery.
Yu need a cannon size scope with the distances involved.

p.s I forgot to mention the Bitterns. They are around and tough to spot

Perhaps not as many but there were at a dozen at Long Point Wetlands at a distance from the firs viewing platform. There was also a Snadhill Cranes lunching closer by on an island.

Black Terns have quite amazing flying abilities and really are fun to watch. They are quite different from the Terns I grew up watching on Lake Erie.
We are back in Tiny for the weekend (a rat race escape). We got here and wow what a Difference two weeks makes.
The trees now have leaves and the weeds were a foot taller .
