Hi,
Recently we had a rock dove spend several days in our back yard. It was very tame. (Our neighbours have a feeder.) It had coloured leg bands, one on each leg. I wonder if it was a domestic bird with id bands of some kind. I would have been happy to call the owner to advise where the bird was, but couldn't find any info about domestic rock dove breeders.
I live in South West Mississauga.
If anyone knows of any person keeping or banding rock doves in Mississauga or Oakville, could you please let me know, in case the bird shows up again?
thanks!

No problem. :)
Last year, I found one with jewels on it's legs!
This was definitely one of the more unusual bird sightings.
