Title: Uknown Sandpiper?

need help to id this bird please, its not spotted on the underbelly (so of course i'm confused now LOL)

Lovely shot - looks like a Least Sandpiper to me (yellow legs).

I'd agree with Least.  I suspect it's just the pose that makes it look long-necked.

Thanks! his neck was outstretched he was getting food from the water but he wasn't as rich brown as Clemen's Least Sandpiper
I didn't realize there were so many different types!

There's some variation in colour, but it also depends on the light.  In midday sun with a blue sky, they'll look a bit greyer.  Least and Semipalmated are both pretty common here in migration and they look very similar.  The Least has a slightly down-turned bill and yellowish legs.
