Title: Mourning Dove looks semi-paralyzed, no use of feet or wings.
Post by: Raven11:11 on May 21, 2010, 06:49:10 PM
just saw 1 of our many and it does not look good, he is underneath the feeder,

Mourning Dove looks semi-paralyzed, no use of feet or wings. Cannot sit upright and lot all balance ... no blood or trauma signs?

What do I do?    if he does not get his bearings / balance in 20 minutes then ??  we will leave him the safety of our yard** :!:

Thanks for the link, our dove barely flew over the fence and was resting on the grass when I last saw him ... if he makes it thru the night i will be amazed.

both his legs were dead and had no balance ... we think it was 1 of the local birds of prey that may have chased him and in his attempt probably injured himself ....

I will update you tomorrow A/M.

have a good night,
