Title: Grenadier Pond
Post by: tarnado on December 19, 2006, 05:16:53 PM
First time post.

Went out to High Park yesterday saw the usual abundance of chickadees, red-breasted nuthatches, cardinals and downy woodpeckers.
At Grenadier pond besides the mallards and Canada geese, I saw 9 Common Merganser in the middle of the lake, and a male Black Duck-Mallard X near shore. Towards the north end I observed 6 Bufflehead, 40 or so Northern Shoveler and 2 Mute Swans. I also saw 4 Gadwall at the duck ponds.
