Title: Olive sided flycatcher
Post by: Whittam on May 24, 2010, 06:13:19 PM
Very nice bird!  Try as I might I have not seen an Olive-sided for some time.  I listen to every Alder I hear listing for that extra note  "quick free beer" vs "free beer".  Very cool sighting!  Cheers Terry

I was canoeing up in Algonquin this weekend and heard my first few Olive-sided Flycatchers.

CORRECTION: The bird is actually an Eastern Wood-Pewee.

Thanks for the previous comments! This would have been my first Olive-sided, but instead it is my first Pewee so its just as good :D
