i will be in argentina from jan 2 to jan 13 for business and may have time to visit reserva ecologica. anyone have any idea of where i might get a field guide for south american birds in toronto. i have checked all the big stores with no luck. otherwise i guess i will be doing a lot of drawing and searching the web when i get back to toronto.

Try Outdoor Air? Book shop.  I think it is on Toronto Street, which is a short street east of Yonge, but do not remember the cross streets, Richmond maybe one of them.  It is on the southeast corner, down some stairs, in the basement of the building.  It is one of those out of the way places, but may have what you are looking for.  We went there looking for stuff on Costa Rica and I think New Zealand.   Interesting shop.  Have a good trip and hope you get a book.

If this store doesn't have it, you won't find it in T.O.  It's easy to miss, even if you're standing right in front of it.
