Just now an adult coopers 4:35 pm EST
did a high speed pass (wind aided) thru my yard at 7 feet off of the ground
Navigated the swing and the 3 hanging feeders at speed..
Of course it is nearing darkness and the camera is safely tucked away.

Hi Napper,
I enjoyed viewing the pictures you've taken lately, in and around your backyard, etc. What kind of photographic equipment do you use, if you don't mind me asking? I've been seriously thinking about purchasing something beyond my 3.2 megapixel Cyber-Shot with miniscule viewing screen. I'm not a photographer but I'd like to take good quality, reliable pics. Thanks for your advice.

Hey Lloyd,, thanx for the reply!!!
I use a digital SLR, Nikon D70 and for the last year a sigma 50-500 lense. No where near top o the line
compared to the newer stuff thats out there now(makes me drool). Was using a 170-500 for a while,
focus was too slow...If you have questions regarding photo equipment ask it in the "photo and
equipment" area you are going to get a far more educated answer than I can provide you.
I generally don't mess with the images I take. I Shrink to half size or more depending on where I
post them using "Irfran view" a free program from the net. Digital enables me to post within minutes
and Occasionaly I get lucky and that is what you see in my Gallery along with the oddities..

I spotted this very large and chunky Coopers Hawk Yesterday at the Creek South West of my house.
Very long distance shot 150 ft or more. I just wish it was in better focus.:( I think this is the coopers that
has been visiting my feeders on a weekly basis.:D A little further on, I spotted a Great Blue Heron
down in the creek.. Lately I have been communicating with a birder from Northern Ontario and She has
trouble with my sighting's of heron's and Waterfowl in Ontario in December.. (I try to xplain how mild it
has been) I'm not sure if she believes me...
