Title: Eastern Bluebirds
Post by: Halton Hills on May 26, 2010, 06:04:54 PM
.

I've been feeding a pair of Bluebirds that are nesting in my backyard.

They now fly in for a snack of mealworms each morning as soon as I whistle a specific note or two and place the feeder on the lawn.

I don't have a decent enough camera/lens to take any worthwhile pics.......so I shot a video instead.

The Bluebirds now come right to my deck for the daily mealworm handout........here's a better quality video.

Can be viewed full screen at the 480p setting..........    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUWNVp9No3A (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUWNVp9No3A)

After a failed attempt last month.......they finally got their act together.

The female layed 5 eggs starting on June 7th.......they all hatched on the 23rd
