Below are some photos from my last visit to Mountsberg in late March. I've started jonesing for another visit which led me back these images and the realization I never posted them here. It was a spectacular day with lots of sunshine which allowed me to use faster shutter speeds to freeze a bit of action. The first 2 images of the adult Bald Eagle and American Kestrel were taken through fencing, the others photos of a Great Horned Owl and young Bald Eagle were shot in an enclosure during an outdoor demonstration.
Hope you like'em and I can't wait for the next visit!

Stunning shots! I especially like the Great Horned Owl! Great Horned Owls have all but disappeared around our cottage in Muskoka! 10 years ago you could hear 3-5 all around the lake on a quiet night in Feb to May! I have not heard 1 in well over 7 years. Nice to see such a great shot of one! Thanks
Cheers Terry

Great shots! I love the Bald Eagle shot. Is the last picture a Golden Eagle?

Thanks Denis! It's definitely worth the trip - just make sure you get to the outdoor presentation early so you can get a good seat!

Thanks Cody! The last picture is of an imature Bald Eagle whose head has not turned white yet. But when I was working on those photos I was thinking it looked an awful lot like a Golden Eagle.
I was lucky enough last year to get a photo of a Golden Eagle during a demonstration at Pumkinfest in Port Elgin. Check it out:
