When I was watching the Coopers nest at Maplewood Park this morning someone who was passing by mentioned a red-tailed hawk nest that they said was in a wooded area near Derry and Millcreek (they didn't have precise location but mentioned two wooded areas past a gas station, and I think they were saying it was in the second woods, the person also mentioned a railroad track).
There is a gas station right at the corner of Derry and Millcreek and I drove north along Millcreek from there and not too far along Millcreek actually ends, and there is a wooded park there. I'm guessing that's where the nest is supposed to be - I took a quick walk along one of the paths but didn't spot anything, unfortunately I was running late and didn't have the time to really look thoroughly. I was particularly interested in large trees along the edge of the woods, as RTs like to have open access to their nests, it would be less likely to be in the midst of the woods. A RT nest will be huge though, so easier to distinguish if it's there than an accipiter nest.
I don't know if anyone has an idea where this might be - when I walked along the edge of the woods there is a fence beyond which is a set of railroad tracks, so perhaps the nest overlooks it. If anyone happens to get a location it would be interesting to know where this is.

Sounds great! I will have to take a look around there one of these days.
A few people have mentioned there is some sort of hawk nest in a field behind the Harvey's restaurant at the NW corner of Erin Mills Pkwy/Battleford Rd.
