Title: Red-headed Woodpecker in Belle River
Post by: Bird Nerd on July 05, 2010, 05:41:21 PM
Just about 2 weeks ago, I spotted a Red-headed Woodpecker in a tree in Belle River. It was calling (sounded to me just like a squirrel) and chasing robins, and hopping up and down the trees. I ended up scaring it away when I went over to get photos. I guess they are pretty rare these days...

The pics were taken from across the street and bad quality, but here are 2 of them.
