Title: BC Night Heron, High Park
Post by: dbellilo on July 29, 2010, 11:20:15 AM
These were taken four or five days ago. Tough light to work with, but why should I care? This fellow was most cooperative. Likes to sit on this piece of metal on Grenadier Pond...what a sweet and creepy beauty of a bird! As you'll perhaps guess, the third image was substantially cropped, whereas the first two were cropped only slightly...

Terrific shots. Love the fluffiness of the last two.

Nice shots!
It's not often that you see the plumes waving in the wind!

Thanks, folks...I went back to see this fine fellow again today and got some in-flight shots. Nothing spectacular, but it was great fun to watch the heron for a long time. I love the fluffiness also!
