Title: Great Egret, Humber Bay Park East
Post by: dbellilo on July 30, 2010, 07:47:46 PM
Hello again, gentle birdwatchers...
I got very close to a fine egret the other day at Humber Bay Park East. I took many photographs, but this one is my favorite because of our hero's expression. Sadly, I seemed to miss the very bottom of him. But who cares, really? This egret was my good pal for almost an hour!

I look at this photo and think: "What a shame! Why did I move the camera? The other 100+ shots of my pal have his feet all nice and visible! Why, when my only egret friend shrieked to the heavens, did I move the camera so as to lose his feet?" I must have got excited, that's all. How often does an egret call out skyward in mourning of his lost youth?
