Title: Pileated, Balm Beach

Hey

I was on the deck when I heard  this guy pecking at the tree next door.

He wasn't drumming but very quietly going about his business.

It was tooo dark for my camera so I used the vid camera

Last night (1:30 am)I heard a Barred owl calling in the distance just South of us.

I am truly sorry that I mis-identified the gender of the Pileated.

I didn't even think gender :oops:
