For those who do not know, there is currently a rare Scissor-tailed Flycatcher at the Luther Marsh slightly north of Orangeville.
Scissor-tailed Flycatchers nest in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas; western portions of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri; far eastern New Mexico; and northeastern Mexico. They spend their Winters in Southern Florida and in the Pacific Slopes of Central America.
As of 2006, there were 45 records for this species in Ontario.
