Post by: denis on August 10, 2010, 09:04:23 PM
i know. just a ring billed gull. but i liked the angle on this one,as it kept flying by to check me out while i was shooting bank swallows, hanging by a cliff.

Very nice, Denis, as always.
I know, I know, they're JUST ring-billed gulls, I've said those same words myself many times.
That said, they are gorgeous birds, easy to find, and they do make for great subjects. I love their eyes and the way their faces look when they open their beaks wide!
They're also great subjects b/c one doesn't need a super-long lens to take great close-ups of them...
All the best!
