Beautiful shots - especially like #2.  Not sure why, but I seldom like my shots when the bird is looking at the camera ?

Thanks everyone for your comments. We were quite lucky to see him. I don't think they are very common. He did let us get "fairly" close for a shore bird.

Agreed. #2 is lovely...
