I believe this actually might be a juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher. According to National Geographics field guide the juv. Long-billed "is darker above, greyer below than Short-billed; tertials and greater wing coverts are plain, with thin gray edges and rufous tips", which seems to fit with the bird in the picture.

Could very well be a juv Lbdw. Thanks for the input, I mess up shorebirds all the time.
