Title: Brantford Blackbird Flock
Post by: Cody on August 25, 2010, 12:47:21 PM
While on my way home from the Windsor Airshow Sunday night, I saw a large flock of approximately 2000 Blackbirds with some Swallows mixed in. They appeared to be mostly Grackles and Red-winged Blackbirds. This was on the 403 1KM South of the big white Brantford City Tower.

Yesterday along 401 near Woodstock there was an enormous blackbird flock, maybe a kilometer long and probably containing more than 10,000 birds.

Wow, thats huge!   I also saw a flying group of 5-6 shorebirds 5 minutes outside of Chatham where the railway tracks and Corn field are (not a great description  )  Not sure what they were. Also in the distance I could see another big flock of Blackbirds flying but nothing huge.
