Post by: Andreas Jonsson on September 15, 2010, 03:18:16 PM
Today, I did a little solo hawk watching in Trinity Bellwoods Park an hour around noon. I just wanted to see whether I could get some raptors in my own neighborhood, and indeed I could. Not great numbers but I didn't stay out for long either.

Winds: W to N 8-17 km/h all morning. Partly cloudy, becoming 100% cloudy at 1pm, after which the migration seemed to taper off.

Birds:
2   Sharp-shinned Hawk
1   Cooper's Hawk
4 Accipiter sp.
10 Broad-winged Hawk
1   Red-tailed Hawk
2   American Kestrel
1 ad   Peregrine Falcon
