Post by: mr.sharp-photo on September 21, 2010, 04:53:01 PM
This was taken last week. No time to edit the pictures, but this is my favourite in-flight photo.
not sure if it was me or my wife that took this picture, but i think it was me.

anyone know when they're likely to leave the GTA?

Nice shot Mr sharp-photo.
I'm not sure how much longer the hummers can be seen but I did have
a female at me feeders briefly this morning (Sept 22) here in Georgetown.

Great shot Richard.
I still have them in my backyard, just not as many or as frequently.
I can still find them at any Jewel Weed patch.
Last year I had Hummers in my backyard at the feeder till mid to late October.

I checked eBird and it seems like the last Ruby-throated Hummingbirds in Southern Ontario are seen first week of October. If you would happen to see a Hummingbird in November it's actually more likely to be a western rarity.
