Title: Great Blue Heron's
Post by: Cody on September 26, 2010, 10:26:40 PM
There really wasn't much within 300mm range to photograph at Van Wagner's today. I missed a stunning Osprey shot by about 15 seconds       The lowest Osprey I have ever seen!    Most of the Jaeger's wouldn't even be seen up close with a 1200mm lens!

Nice catch anyway, Cody!
I know what you mean about lenses, I too am using a 300 and would like something longer!

Thanks John!   Which 300mm do you use?

Cody, I'm using a Nikon D5000 and 70-300VR lens mounted on a shoulder brace.

Sounds like you have some pretty good equipment.  From the shots I have seen posted by you it is obviously a good lens!
