Hi everyone. I was walking around Lake Aquitaine this afternoon between 1:30-2:30pm.
East end of lake: sighted a Crow flying with a Garter Snake dangling from the crow's feet. Crow landed on a branch then let loose cawing up a storm! Crow #2 sitting on a nearby lamp post started up with very loud sounds - similar to a Woodpecker hammering loudly on a tree.
West end of lake: sighted a White-breasted Nuthatch sitting at tip of pine tree, "yammering" non stop!
Otherwise, lots of the "usual": Canada Geese, Cardinals, Chickadees, Gulls, Mallards and Sparrows. 6 male Red-winged Blackbirds are still around!
Lake Aquitaine: SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave, behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
