Beautiful pictures.
I think the second bird is a juvenile Short-billed Dowitcher. It seems rufous below and has rufous within the black on the back. Long-billed Dowitcher is more plain-coloured.

thanks guys.
thomas,i,m just going by what some seasoned birders in attendance, were saying as far as the dowitcher.if it,s a short-billed then that,s a bonus as i,ve got photos of a long-billed from another location,i will post when processed.this one also was ID,s by a couple of birders, with at least 35 years experience.

After some more research I'm sure (unless my Field Guide and Internet sources are wrong) that this picture is of a juvenile Short-billed Dowitcher.
In this thread there's picture of a juvenile Long-billed Dowitcher, which is considerably more drab looking and has much less orange/rufous colouring: http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB/v ... =dowitcher (http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=6194&highlight=dowitcher)
Here's a guide to identifying Dowitchers if anybody is interested: http://www.surfbirds.com/ID%20Articles/ ... chers.html (http://www.surfbirds.com/ID%20Articles/dowitchers1005/dowitchers.html)
