Title: Saker Falcon
Post by: ravynne40 on September 28, 2010, 05:57:42 PM
I was fortunate to get up close and personal with the Saker Falcon and its trainer at the African Lion Safari. this was an amazing display of flight and feeding
He was part of their birds of prey show. Apparently they don't always fly the same birds. This was a day well worth it, and I recommend it even if you don't have kids LOL

The second bird that fascinated me was the Eurasion Eagle Owl, with his beautiful feathers and bright orange eyes!

Thanks everyone for the kind words :) Being this close to a raptor is an awesome feeling words cannot describe.
I appologize for the "bloody food" picture, but it is part of their nature and I see beauty in everything (even the not so beautiful things)
