Title: mexico
Post by: banear on October 03, 2010, 04:25:42 PM
we are going to Mexico (Mayan Riviera) over the christmas holidays and I am hoping to get in some birding.  Has anyone been and done any  one day birding tours? If so, do you have any recommendations?  Any bird books that might be helpful to look at b/f going?
thanks

I used Howell and Webb's "A Guide to the Birds of Mexico and Norther Central America".  Great book, but not so easy to find and costs a bit.  I used it to cross-reference against some seasonal bird lists I found on-line for the part of the Mexico I was in.  Have fun!

Thanks. I will look for it on Amazon etc.  What kind of birds did you see when you were there?  Did you go on an organized tour or just on your own?  I am really looking forward to it!
