Title: Tundra Swan & Kinglets at Palgrave
Post by: peter monahan on October 10, 2010, 01:18:18 PM
At 9:00 am Sunday, Oct. 10 there was a single adult Tundra Swan swimming with a single Canada Goose in the small lake/pond at the north end of Palgrave, on Hwy 50.  The pond is right beside the road on the east side of 50.

At the north west corner of the Palgrave Conservation, along the Finnerty Sideroad I encountered  both male and female Ruby-Crowned Kinglets in a mixed flock with Chickadees.

At several other spots along the main trail through the Cons. Area I spotted mixed flocks of Chickadees and Golden-Crowned Kinglets, both male and female.
