Just wondering, what is this bird carrying in his claws?

Great shots. It looks like it is carrying a small rodent. The shape and colour seem to fit and I think I see a tail in the first picture.

I agree, looks like a small rodent furball. Also nice that your must have cleaned your lens so you don't get that red markings like previous pics, some which are nice shots

It's a Deer Mouse
It's the right size and right colour with a flash of white underbelly showing
Too many of them around anyways :wink:

Our boy or girl from Samuel Smith Park seems to be very hungry. This photo was taken today(Thursday). It looks like he’s got himself nice lunch.

We can't tell in this last photo, but the bird in the first two at the beginning of this thread is clearly male due to the bluish-gray wings.

I saw both of the AKs together again this afternoon. They must be a pairing since I see them there every day.
