Title: Bur Nest ?
Post by: Halton Hills on October 18, 2010, 09:41:58 AM
.

Anybody have any idea what would construct this Bur mass ?

It's sitting on top of a fence post and is larger than a basketball.

It was hidden amongst some shrubs and only became visible once the leaves had fallen.

its a porcupine that went through a field of burs and after acquiring all the extra weight decided to rest on top of a fence poll. :).

I don't think it's a nest, just a bunch of burs stuck together.
