Found a Purple Finch at the feeders in Trinity Bellwoods Park today. The Fox sparrow is still there.

Title: Purple Finches
Post by: pearlD on October 24, 2010, 07:39:36 PM
Several Purple Finches have been visiting my Safflower Feeders for the past 10 days and the first sign of winter..a pair of Junco's feeding on the ground under the Wild Bird seed feeder.  Once again there must be 50 assorted sparrows We have 4 sets of Cardinals every morning and evening...I just love it!  Waiting for the Flicker to show up..he generally shows up only once a season (spring & fall). I have 7 Feeders up (2 Nyger) 1 Wild Bird, 1 Peanut only, and 3 Safflower Feeders...I've run out of places in my 'downtown' yard but I am very close to the end (southern) of the Nordheimer where we often see the Hawks (sometimes in the back yard but not often.  Often enough to be exciting!
