Title: New Birding Column
Post by: dee@post on February 12, 2007, 09:34:35 PM
Hi, I've been asked by the Weekend Post editor at the National Post to supply a short column on birds in the GTA that week.  It will be printed in the Weekend Post TV Guide section every 3 weeks starting this weekend with a short column and photos on the long tailed duck from HUmber Bay Park and other areas.  Also there will be a link to  the Post website to other photos I took that week.  So I ask  you, if possible,  to email me with any unusual birds and where they are so I can record them and photograph them if they are still in the area.

Thank you

Diane Doiron

Does a mocking bird count as unusual in the GTA?

We have a pair that are working the area and it seems they may be nesting in my neighbors cherry tree.  I haven't gone out the the camera around them yet as I want them to settle in and get accustomed to me being around, but once they settle in I'll get a few images for you if you like.
