So I finally found the GHO of Thickson Woods.
I have given up counting the amount of times I have stopped by there and searched, but I am thinking close to 100 times over the past year and a half. So I was VERY excited to see him the other day. Not the best photo but my first of the Thickson Woods GHO's so I am happy with it.
It's a shame about his mate, but I guess that means there will be a lot of activity over the next few months as he calls out for a new girlfriend. :D
Hopefully successfull nesting will be had once again at Thickson Woods.

Hey Thanks Moira!!
A number of people have told me she hasn't been see for most of the year. There was no breeding at all this season.
No one know where she went, they do not feel she was injured or killed, just that she may have just left. But no one is completely sure.
Hopefully the new season brings a successfull pairing and once again we can see a new family raised in the hidden gem of this small woodlot.
