Had a nice walk on the Dundas Rail Trail today, covering both sides of Cootes Drive. Highlights include a Swamp Sparrow, Brown Creeper, at least three Carolina Wrens (real beauties with gorgeous colour), a Winter Wren and a male Red-bellied Woodpecker.
Canal highlights were the reliable Pied-billed Grebe, a male Belted Kingfisher and, a bit of a surprise, a Common Loon.
