So we were waundering through the woods on the weekend half looking for the barred owl that likes to tease me . It hoots then flys away and I don't even know it's there . we are trudging along when I spot what looks like 4 or 5 seals motoring through the woods right in front of us . They stopped and then went the other way . Turns out they were otters , but no water around for a long way . Kind of fun to see but very unusual I'm thinking and to fast for pictures .

This was one of the young ones from 2 years ago or at least it looked like it just left the nest . They are always hooting but I can never find them and have never found any pellets . I see all this stuff at Miner's Bay near Minden .
