There were some chickadees in the trees at the Lambton Woods/James Gardens border.
We put some peanuts down on a picnic table to bring them in and had this surprise visitor!

The last shot actually shows how this bird gets it's name.
Only a few times have I seen the red belly of a red bellied woodpecker.

I might/hope get to Lambton this week. Christmas stuff keeps me busy and not going anywhere but out in the yard.
