Title: Coyotes - Ajax (Pics)

Saw a trio of Coyotes off of Lakeridge Rd. North of the 401 in Ajax this morning.

Your photos are great.. I find them haunting
and enjoyed viewing same.

Never seen a coyote either in the wild.

 Great photos ! Many years ago I saw 2 coyotes together but they were in bloor west village crossing bloor st....not quite the picturesque backdrop that you have...

I live waaaaay out in the country and it amuses me that I see more coyotes in the GTA than up where I live....

Thanks, I actually live in Bloor West and watched Coyotes daily in and around High Park before they were all poisoned by angry pet owners.  Just goes to show how Coyotes are opportunists and can take advantage of any food source, including unsuspecting Chihuahuas.

Frankly, I'd rather have the coyotes over the chihuahuas....and the cats...I'm not a cat hater (I have 2 of my own) but I'm not a fan of people who let their cats out of the house / private property...

My parents live in Port Credit, near a park called the Adamson Estate...some time ago, there were signs posted on a spit nearby, warning of coyotes...its since been removed...does anyone know if there are coyotes still around this area?

I thought coyotes were tough animals to eradicate and responded with unusually large litter sizes when hunted etc.

I don't know about the Port Credit area but I do know that there are numerous sightings on the Leslie Street Spit every year.  An early morning or evening there is probably your best bet for the Toronto area.

Iain those pics are amazing good job, i've yett to see one during daylight but at night centenial park in etobicoke is a great place to see and hear them
