Its been a while since I've posted on the forum, but I'll try to be more regular again :)
This was taken a couple of weeks ago in Carden.

What a lovely little fellow .. nice shot .. and so out in the open!

Cool shot!
I was wondering... is there much up in Carden this time of year? We've been in early June and it's pretty crazy. We returned in July to find next to nothing. So, with winter, I am curious. We normally travel Wylie Road.
Thanks if you happen to reply. :)

Nice shot.

The alvar itself is a virtual wasteland in the winter. RIght now there is a home near where the Hawk Owl is being seen with Evening Grosbeaks and Common Redpolls coming to a feeder. There are Snow Buntings around too. Ont Birds has many postings about these birds.

As Frank noted below Carden is pretty (very) quiet this time of year, however this Hawk Owl & the Evening Grosbeaks have been worth the drive to see.
Nice shot.
Thanks Cody
