One of my favorite photos I have ever taken has been published in Canadian Wildlife Federation's "WILD" magazine. It's a publication for kids in the age range of 6 to 12 years old. I entered this pic in their Reflections of Nature section last August and forgot about it. Then late this week I got a large envelope from the CWF with a letter and a copy of the magazine. It's in a contest they have for the kids called "Say What?" where they would like kids to enter their idea on what the animal in pic is thinking. A great surprise!

Great pic, love it. Congrats, nice feeling to see your pic in a magazine for sure. Well done.

Rob ... cool! 8) Would be interesting to know some of the captions that the kids come up with - and the winning entry.

Neat pic, all the little toes.
Is that a peanut already in its mouth?

Thanks everyone!
Yep, one big peanut in his mouth already. He was trying to figure out how to get this one in as well.
I had no idea what this pic looked like till I loaded it on the computer. I laughed and still laugh at it. He makes others laugh too with his head stretched out like that... and those cute little toes. A copy of this photo was on display at my seed store and was commented on all the time by other customers.
It truly was a great surprise in the mail this week, and an honor.
This was taken with our Canon Power Shot. A small but excellent camera in our opinion; but occasionally in my adventures has brought laughs by others with bigger equipment.
We have signed up for a subscription to this magazine now and I will post what the winning comments by children when we get it in April.
