I was walking thru the Woods when I spotted a lone Coyote on the other side of the Humber at the south end of Lambton Golf Club

Great photo...were you surprised to learn there are coyotes in the area or did you know that already?

Nice healthy looking coyote. :D

A lot of the Toronto area has Coyote nowadays. I see the signs, I hear the dog walkers complaining as they read the signs, and I have seen Coyotes in a number of the parks. Smythe Park we saw one hunting baby geese last June.
Cool photo John!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!
Axeman, I've known for some time that there were Coyotes in the area .Other people have told me about seeing them and I had heard a few Coyotes responding to a siren one afternoon. The howls seemed to come from an area not too far south of where this photo was taken.
However this was the first time that I have actually seen one here and I was fortunate to get a shot thru the trees.
feathered and Jimmy, I too thought that the coyote looked healthy.

Wow ... that sure is "wild life" in the city. Seems he's following in some x-country skier's tracks ... hmmm ?? Hope he's not too hungry. :D

Thanks!
dawn, the Coyote was within 500 yds of the railway overpass.
