Title: Odd backyard sightings
Post by: Napper on February 14, 2011, 07:07:04 PM
cool

My neighbours, two doors down have ducks in their in ground pool every spring & I keep seeing mallards landing in the backyards across the street. We used to be on the edge of town now the middle of town as urban sprawl has begun.

We had a Great Blue Heron on our Fence last summer checking out the fishpond next door.

We haven't had any ducks in our downtown backyard, but we have recently had a female mallard under a neighbour's bush and a wood duck on the roof of the nearby church.

How the heck did you get a sandhill crane in your backyard?
