Title: Raccoon
Post by: Napper on February 16, 2011, 09:49:03 PM
Hey

I was in the garage watching the leafs game. During the time out near the end of the game I figured I'd make a dash into the house to catch the end . I opened the back, Man sized garage door and here is a pretty good sized Raccoon running away from our garbage cans 5 feet away heading for our feeders.

A few minutes later after the game ended I spotted it under one of my feeders. Went looking for my camera and he was gone when I got back.

Napper

I spotted another late this past Saturday night foraging along the edge our street. It has been checking out our compost bucket over the last week judging by the tracks in the snow.

On Wednesday a.m. I watched one amble down our drive in broad daylight....then this a.m. I had 2 hanging out on the deck...maybe Wiarton Willy was right....oh yeah, another definite sign of spring....dead skunk in the middle of the road today.
Title: Spring not this weekend

yeah! Axeman today was like spring, not this evening!

We were at the the Mall in Newmarket when the electricity went out at 8:oo pm heavy winds

On the way home we were almost blown off the road by wind gusts multiple times. We were blasted by dust and sand. Then Outside of

Orangeville  on Hwy 9 it started to snow. Luckily we were back home by 10 pm before the heavy snow started falling up that way.

The radar off of Huron and Georgian bay is showing heavy white stuff coming down. Lake effect stuff is hitting us way down here in

Milton  1:30 am Feb 19, 2011.

p.s. No birds at home.  Saw a couple Kestrels in T.O. today
