My first Long Ear where i actually got to see it through my 400mm lens. I've seen three this year and they are always in flight. It took me awhile to actually figure out what type of owls i was seeing because the ear tuffs go down in flight.
Luckily i saw Richard that day he was the one that had spotted both owls.

Nice pictures. The hawk is actually a red-shouldered, which is quite a good bird in winter.
